Aston Martin shows its conscious side

I honestly adore this car! I have seen it before during its design phase when Aston Martin had released some sketches and images of what they imagined an Aston with an environmental conscience to be like. Their press release sums it up the best: “The Cygnet concept represents a creative, environmentally conscious solution, being small, yet with presence – and highly fuel efficient, now combined with the prestige of Aston Martin’s luxury brand ownership.”

I’d buy one, depending on the price, as a daily commute car. Unfortunately, the Cygnet will only be available in the UK and Europe with Aston hoping it could go into production some time in 2010.

meh.. I still think the Fiat 500 Abarth would kick it’s ass!

Ew. Why the hell would AM put its logo on a Toyota iQ? ! gah!

Marzouq: I agree, the Fiat 500 Abarth is the sexiest hot hatch there is

Khaled: Honestly, from the little that I know and understand, the British government has placed some sort of tax on companies exceeding emission standards with their production and product lines (something like that). By building a small city car, Aston Martin’s carbon emissions average drops significantly because all their cars have high power output and utilize large displacement engines. Don’t quote me on it but it’s something along those lines.

can you imagine driving a car that small on one of our highways with the monkey population of ours.

  5. el wehbi Says:

Potentially suicidal! I guess that’s why we’ll never see it on our shores.
