Lotus Exos T125 is what you want to have at your next track day (w/video)

The Lotus Exos T125 is a track car based on a Formula 1 open-wheel racer that uses F1 technology to create the ultimate track day entrant anyone can think of. The T125 uses a carbon fiber monocoque chassis with the front & rear wing specifications of 2009 F1 cars.

The T125 uses a 3.5-liter Cosworth V8 engine which produces 650 bhp with a 10,300 rpm redline (it has a “push to pass” button which increases it to 10,800 rpm). The car only weighs 650kg giving this open-wheel Lotus a power-to-weight ratio of approximately 1,000 bhp per ton!

Owners will be able to customize their paint schemes, even picking and choosing from historic Lotus liveries like the John Player Special black & gold paint job, the British racing green and yellow livery, etc.

Only 25 Lotus Exos T125s will be produced next year at $1 million US dollars each. Throw in the fact that the engine has to be practically rebuilt at every 4,500 km interval and this definitely isn’t the cheap track day pick. But what a toy to have!!!
