How influential is BBC’s Top Gear?

Jeremy Clarkson recently rolled a three-wheeled Robin Reliant for pure comedy. Unfortunately, “hooligan” fans of the show decided to do the same to 78 year-old Barry Cloughton’s personal Reliant. They flipped it not once, but twice. The first time was 3 hours right after the episode first aired on June 27th, 2010. The second time was a few hours after a “best of” episode aired last Sunday. BBC states that the hooligans are to blame and not Top Gear.
