Leather lovers rejoice… cows on the run

I’m sorry but I couldn’t resist using this image for my post. Get it? Cow on the run.

Could there be a direct relationship between the number of Rolls Royce models produced and cows slaughtered? To a minor extent, yes.

Due to strong sales of Rolls Royce models (Phantom, the Phantom Coupe, Phantom Drophead and now the Ghost), the British automaker is strengthening its Leathershop team. All Rolls Royce interiors are hand-crafted by the Leathershop with stitch-work taking more than 2 weeks to complete per car. In regards to the production of each Phantom model, each interior requires eleven cowhides of the same specifications to ensure consistency throughout the approx. $400,000 dollar car. Poor cows!
