Gold creeps its way into Nissan’s GT-R VVIP Edition

Ah, gold… the color that seems to represent the GCC and Middle East whether we like it or not. Nissan has just unveiled a GCC-only 2012 GT-R special edition coined the “VVIP”. Replacing the internationally-used “Egoist”  moniker, the GT-R VVIP edition provides owners with the capability of customizing numerous interior and exterior features.

The VVIP edition is powered by the 530hp GT-R engine, which is capable of nailing 100km/h from a standstill in approx. 3 seconds. For all those that aren’t huge fans of gold, these images were apparently supplied by a Dubai-based Nissan dealer with golden grilles and ‘VVIP’ badges, so you can order your version without.

The GT-R VVIP is highly customizable in the interior. Besides the info screen, regular GT-R models tend to be a bit bland on the inside so this could be a welcomed option for many buyers. The 2012 Nissan GT-R VVIP Edition is available for order at selected Nissan dealers in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and other GCC countries.

Other manufacturers like RR also have special Middle East editions with pearl finish paint jobs and gold accents. They know that bling is important in the gulf 🙂
