Sell a few Ralph Lauren “Polo Shirts” and you could own a garage like this! (w/video)

Yeah right, in your dreams! From the man that put the twist on the “Polo Shirt”, comes an exquisite car collection that will blow your mind.

Mr. Lauren really has superior taste. Many of the cars which he purchased over the years have been tastefully restored with every wheel, nut, bearing, etc. brought up to museum-like spec.

And what better way to pay tribute to these lovely rides than by laying them all out at his 2-floor D.A.D. Garage facility, complete with black carpeting and white walls. Hit the jump for pics and highlights on some of the cars at D.A.D.

1930 Mercedes-Benz SSK “Count Trossi”

Built as a one-off custom for Count Carlo Felice Trossi from Italy, an Italian race car driver and car builder.

1938 Bugatti 57S Atlantic

Labeled as one of the most beautiful cars in the world, this is one of four examples ever built. This car easily breaks the $2 million value mark.

1958 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa

The 250 Testa Rossa (“red head” in Italian) got its name from the red valve covers used on the V12 engine. The car was created for the purpose of endurance and sports car racing, especially for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

1996 McLaren F1 LM

Still holding the title as the fastest naturally-aspirated production car in history, the legend of the McLaren F1 stands strong 13 long years after its production run ended. The LM (Le Mans) edition you see here from Ralph Lauren’s collection was one from five ever built.

The Rest

Mr. Lauren’s collection obviously doesn’t end with the above-mentioned rare beauties. If you’re ever lucky enough to get a chance to stroll through his garage, you’re likely to find the following:

A 1929 Bentley Blower, 1931 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza, 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 Millie Miglia, 1933 Bugatti 59 Grand Prix, 1954 Ferrari 375 Plus, 1955 Jaguar XKD, 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder, 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, 1964 Ferrari 250 LM, 1950 Jaguar XK120 Roadster, 1955 300 SL Gullwing, 1958 Jaguar XKSS, and a 1960 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB… to name a few.
