Launched! Merc’s C63 AMG Black Series Coupe is official

I recently posted some leaked images of what was being touted as the new Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe… my friends, the report was on the money.

The Black Series moniker has been donned once again on this newest beast from the AMG division. The C63 Black Series Coupe sits so sweetly with its wide and muscular stance. From the bulging fenders to the rear diffuser, you know AMG wants everyone in the auto world to know that this car means business.

The 6.3-liter V8 engine will be more than capable of turning out 510hp and 457lb-ft of torque. The result of those numbers will help it knock out 0-100km/h low 4-second times without the slightest complaint.

AMG will offer two additional special packages for those that want to redefine the term “hardcore”. The AMG Track package adds extremely sticky 255/35 R 19 front and 285/30 R 19 rear sports tires from Dunlop, which were exclusively developed for the C63 AMG Coupé Black Series. An “active cooling” setup for the rear-axle drive unit will ensure that the lucky owner doesn’t run into any overheating issues when thrashing it around at the local track day.

The second option, the AMG Aerodynamics package, includes carbon fiber (CF) exterior touches such as winglets placed on the front valance and a CF spoiler at the rear with an “adjustable aerofoil”.

The price has yet to be finalized but it will be more expensive than the late CLK Black Series model, so definitely over $100,000 dollars in my opinion.
