Qatar taxi drivers to be trained by Williams F1

The Qatari-based transport company, Mowasalat, and the Williams Formula 1 team have signed a memorandum of understanding for the use of Williams F1’s advanced simulator technology, currently under development at the Williams Technology Centre in Qatar.

Mowasalat plans on using the technology in its driver training operations to help improve road safety, the skill level of its drivers, passenger comfort and the transport company’s environmental efficiency.

Considering how dangerous un-trained taxi drivers can be, I think this would have positive impact on road safety in Qatar. What do you think?

woohoo! now I wish I was a taxi driver 😀

But seriously speaking although this is a good thing I think that drivers should get more training on road etiquette and following rules.

That’s seriously cool! First lesson, speak the country’s native language!
