2012 Kuwait Concours d’Elegance – Grand Touring (GT) highlights

Carrying on from my last post of the ‘Oldies’ highlights from the 2012 Kuwait Concours d’Elegance, I’d like to share with you some of the GT – Gran Turismo / Grand Touring – models present at the show. First up, this beautifully understated Aston Martin DB2/4 MKI from Kuwait.

This ‘gullwinged’ 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Racing car.

A 1958 Chevrolet Corvette from Kuwait.

A 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster from Japan.

One of my favorites, this 1958 Aston Martin DB2/4 MKIII from a Kuwaiti collection, came with a very interesting color scheme.

1963 Alfa Romeo TZ1 Guilia from Italy.

1963 Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato from the UK.

A 1964 Ferrari 250GT Lusso from the UAE.

A 1965 Aston Martin Short Chassis Volante from a Kuwaiti collection.

A 1966 Lamborghini 350GT from Switzerland.

A 1966 Maserati Sebring GTIS from Spain.

A 1967 Lamborghini 400GT from Kuwait.

This gorgeous non-Ferrari ‘breadvan’ model. Will have more on this design in a following post.

1971 Lamborghini Miura SV from Bahrain.

And last but not least, this 1965 Ferrari 365GTS Daytona Spider which basically previewed, in my opinion, what the Chevy Camaro would look like almost 20 years later.

Stay tuned for more highlights from the show.
