Porsche honors its “clubs” with the 911 Club Coupe

Marking its 60th anniversary of the first official Porsche Club, the limited edition 911 Club Coupe has been launched. Based on the new 911 Carrera S, the Club Coupe receives Porsche’s individual classic paint “Brewster Green”. Each car also comes with “911 Club Coupe” lettering on the doors.

Power output has been increased over the standard 991 Carrera S, with a 30hp hike – totaling 430hp – from the 3.8 liter engine. A new set of cylinder heads, camshafts, an intake, and a sports exhaust system head the mods list. The Club Coupe also comes with Porsche’s Sport Chrono Package which provides an optimized engine management system.

The engine bay also receives a few touches with a titanium-colored cover and carbon fiber inserts. The 911 Club Coupe also comes with the Sport Design Package consisting of a distinctive front bumper and spoiler, a 20mm lowered suspension, and a ducktail rear spoiler.

Each 911 Club Coupe Porsche comes with a customized panel strip for each owner, obviously a Porsche Club member, with laser-etched text which says “911 Club Coupe – personally built for (name of the owner of the car inserted)” engraved into it.

Only 12 Club members will have the opportunity to own one of the Porsche 911 Club Coupes destined for production. One will remain with Porsche, while the remaining eleven will cost €142,831 each. Porsche Club members have to apply to own one, with registration open until the 16th of July, 2012.

Elegant and sexy. I even like the duck tail for some reason although my favorite is the ‘whale tail’ from classic 911s’

@al6are8: Although the 991 hasn’t won me over completely as of yet, I’m definitely a fan of this particular model.

@Mathai: The “ducktail” on the 911 Club Coupe seems to have a more muscular stance, in my opinion, than other ducktails previously used. Aaaaaah “whale tails”… so beautiful that you just can’t stop staring.
