2013 Nissan Juke-R production model finally revealed!

Nissan has just taken the wraps off of the production 2013 Juke-R limited edition model. The Godzilla-inspired crossover took the world by storm during its development, primarily due to the fact that it was a Skyline GT-R crammed under a Juke’s body.

The official horsepower figure of 545hp has been announced; however, nothing regarding torque as of yet. What Nissan does claim is that the Juke-R can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 3.0 seconds and hit a top speed of 275km/h!

As most of you probably know, the Juke-R uses the GT-R’s potent 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, mated to the car’s suspension, all-wheel drive system and transmission as well. Using the GT-R as a standard for comparison, reliability should not be an issue here.

This first viewing of the Juke-R (pictured here is production unit #001) shows that the monster maintains the concept model’s aggressive body package with a few revisions. Visually distinguishing the “R” model from the regular Juke are items such as the front spoiler, bulging hood, wider wheel arches, 2-piece rear winglets and a carbon diffuser to name a few.

The interior has been predominantly carried over from the GT-R. The use of carbon fiber trim, a FIA-approved rollcage, sport bucket seats with Sabelt racing harnesses, deleted rear seats and the production model’s serial number (placed near the shifter) tell the two apart.

At close to 500,000 euros, the rare Juke-R won’t come cheap. But be expecting to see a couple on Middle Eastern roads in the near future.

I think it would look killer in red with all the grey and black accents… not my usual color of choice though.
